Forestry
The forestry operations of MP bolagen are conducted in a rational and responsible manner, with great consideration for nature and biodiversity. The forests are double certified according to PEFC™ and FSC®, and a previously substantial area is set aside for conservation, key habitats, and reserves.
The forest is important
The forest meant a lot to our founder Werner von Seydlitz. When he arrived in Sweden as a refugee in 1949, he studied at the Swedish Institute for Wood Technology in Stockholm and then got in touch with the founders of Myresjöhus. The property consists of contiguous parcels located in Kalmar County, Västervik Municipality, and Hjorthed Parish. The area features picturesque hilly terrain with a large number of lakes and mountains, predominantly forested with pine trees.

With great consideration for the environment and biodiversity, modern and efficient forestry operations are conducted, supported by a well-developed road network for heavy traffic.
The goal is to generally maintain timber density and increase the proportion of deciduous forest.
The company's forests are double certified by FSC® and PEFC™ under FSC-C006219 and PEFC S 03676.
