Olivin Stockholm

Stockholm's new office landmark Olivin has a strong focus on environmentally friendly construction. Intensive collaboration has been required to achieve the ambitious goals of the project, which will be the new headquarters for Skanska, among others. Installation company Ohmegi has played a central role in implementing the technical solutions, while MP bolagen has supplied the specially adapted and climate-smart materials required to meet the project's unique sustainability requirements.

In Västra Kungsholmen in Stockholm, 25 metres from Essingeleden, Olivin is emerging – a modern office building where sustainability and reuse are integral parts of the process. With its 23,000 square metres of office space and eleven floors, Olivin will be a landmark building in Kungsholmen, scheduled for completion at the end of 2026, with the first tenants moving in during December 2026. Skanska, among others, will move in with its new headquarters, but the property has room for more tenants and is designed to meet future requirements for working environment and environmental performance.
Focus on sustainability and reuse
Olivin is a cutting-edge project with the goal of achieving LEED Platinum and Zero CO2 certification – two of the industry's most ambitious environmental certifications. This means that the entire building's climate impact will be calculated and all emissions will be balanced to net zero. Reuse and the choice of materials play a crucial role in achieving these goals. The project has prioritised locally produced and Swedish-made materials.
Collaboration, innovation and Ohmegi's experiences

The project has been characterised by close dialogue between Skanska, suppliers and installers. Already in the tender phase, contractors were asked: "What can you contribute to reduce the building's climate footprint?" Suppliers were engaged to produce reports and proposals for products with low climate impact. Our initial tender included the MP-S cable ladder and later the MP-LS, but when the project clearly wanted the best for the environment, the choice fell on the MP-SR cable ladder made of recycled steel.
MP bolagens contributions:
- Cable ladders in recycled steel with low climate impact, discreet outlet bars in recycled aluminium and customised installations to meet the tenants' needs.
- In addition to the cable ladders, we also supplied mounting rails and everything the installers needed for assembly and suspension.
- Direct deliveries that were packaged according to plan.
Ohmegi
Ohmegi has played a leading role in the project and particularly highlights the ease of installation and quality of MP bolagen's products, which has simplified the work on site. Reusing products from other projects, on Skanska's initiative, has reduced the climate impact and had a positive effect on the tender. With its central location, logistical challenges and fast construction times have required good communication and flexibility, with cooperation and open dialogue being the key to success.
A workplace for the future

Olivin is more than just an office building – it is a place where balance and well-being permeate every detail. It features a restaurant, gym, bicycle hotel, terraces and conference rooms, all designed to create a working environment in harmony with the pulse of the city and its green spaces. The building is designed to facilitate movement and create the conditions for a sustainable working life.
It takes so few details to put it together. It's like angles and MP screws, and then you can put most things together.
