Our sustainability work
Sustainability is becoming increasingly important, and we are reminded of this daily. When we talk about sustainability, it's not just the environment we're considering, because a sustainable society also requires us to work on the social and economic aspects.
Below, we have gathered some of the measures we are taking and will take in the future. We cannot change the entire world alone, but we can contribute to giving our children and future generations a better foundation.
MP bolagen Reduced - We reduce the climate impact!
We are always on the lookout for improved materials, reliable suppliers and innovative solutions. Our designation for products that are exceptionally environmentally friendly is: MP bolagen Reduced.
Z4 material
We have developed a new material that we call Z4 for cable ladders, wire mesh trays and stripping profiles.. The plate is finished from the steel mill and self-heals, for example, after drilling. No surface treatment is needed.
Good environmental choice - fewer transports, higher corrosion resistance and a lower price!

Solar power production
We have invested in solar power systems at our production facility in Ekenässjön, agriculture and also at the office building in Vetlanda.
A new phase is being installed and in total the production is estimated at approx. 2 million kWh per year in our facilities. This corresponds to 65% of our annual consumption.

Packaging
Cartons are selected with FSC certification, and additionally, we have reduced the thickness of certain packaging to both decrease the input material and reduce waste on construction sites. The transition from plastic to corrugated packaging is ongoing for suitable products.
Aluminum with less climate impact
Low carbon dioxide aluminum is an obvious choice for us. This material is used in products such as wall trunkings, service poles and strapping profile. We maintain the same malleability, quality and strength, but the climate impact is significantly reduced compare to before. Carbon dioxide emissions per kilogram of aluminum are reduced by 40% from 6.7 to 4 kilograms. For an office buliding that needs 100m of wall trunkings, the reduction corresponds to 1000 kilometers of driving with a petrol car.

Company cars
According to the policy for company cars, the car owner´s driving pattern and best choice for the environment are evaluated, witch determines the choice of vehicle or fuel.
Charging posts have been installed for staff and visitors at all of our facilities.
LED-lights
Changeover to LED-lights take place on an ongoing basis in our facilities and we also have motion detectors in production and warehouse areas to save energy when no one is in that area.
Scrap recycling
All production involves a certain amount of scrap regardless of how advanced it is. No less than 35 different fractions are sorted out in order to recycle in the most optimized way possible.
Sandahls Logistik
Since March 2023, we have a collaboration with Sandahls Logistik. It is a company with great ambitions and the goal is to be able to run all transport on fossil-free fuel by 2026. In connection with this, two new trailers profiled. These operate the route Ekenässjön-Hallsberg.
EPD - environmental declaration
Our environmental product declarations are based on real input data and are verified by third parties. They show the products environmental performance throughout the entire lifespan – from material extraction to demolition of a property.
GHG - Greenhouse gas protocol
We continuously measure our Co2 emissions and calculate this per ton of products produced. Already when planning new products, we can calculate the climate effect and then the real result is followed up.
Social sustainability
Being a good social actor is a matter of course for us, and our own staff is at least as important. Below we give some examples where we contribute to this.
MHFA
MHFA stands for mental health first aid. All staff have been offered to attend a two-day training course, and currently around 50% have completed it.
Teknikcollege
The national association Teknikcollege Sweden is a collaboration between companies, municipalities and education providers and aims to increase the status and quality of industry-relevant education. We have a close collaboration with the schools in the municipality. This means internships, study visits, lectures, etc.
Three foundations
The group also includes foundations that finance research and education related to forestry, milk production and tool technology in southern Sweden, as well as supporting association life, education and entrepreneurship in Vetlanda.
