Project Science Park Towers
Few has missed that Jönköping has gained a new meeting place right in the heart of central Jönköping - Science Part Towers. The tower, or rather the quarter as it truly is, consists of a brick base and four towers of varying heights, the tallest of wich proudly stands at an impressive fifteen floors. MP bolagen is proud to have supplied the building's cable management materials.

Science Park Towers is one of Jönköping’s newest landmarks. The property was completed in May 2023, just over two years after the first groundbreaking. The project was commissioned by the municipal property developer JKPG Fast. NCC acted as the builder. Emil Lundgren was selected as the contractor, where Daniel Jansson was the project manager:
- We had the opportunity to present ourselves and our solution to realise the client’s idea. The fact that it was a large and exciting project, aiming to create a sustainable meeting place, really appealed to us.
Emil Lundgren creates sustainable solutions
Emil Lundgren is an electrical technology partner focused on contributing to the energy transition by creating sustainable solutions for industry, urban development and energy efficiency. The company operates not only in Jönköping but also in several other locations across Sweden – from Malmö in the south to Uppsala in the north.
Daniel and his colleagues were entrusted with designing and then completing the electrical installation at Science Park Towers. Here, MP bolagen were an early and natural choice. “We have a long history with MP bolagen and have completed many projects together. We know their products well, which of course makes things easier. An important aspect of the project was also sourcing materials locally. Choosing MP bolagen was therefore entirely natural,” says Daniel.
Science Park Towers is unique in many ways. Not least because it was built in such a short time, in the midst of an ongoing pandemic, with all the challenges regarding supply chain reliability and price increases that entailed. Here, MP bolagen stood out, according to Daniel. MP bolagen has a large inventory, which allowed them to fulfil our request to deliver a large portion of the project’s products at an early phase. We had them delivered to our own warehouse. From there, we could make deliveries to the construction site on an ongoing basis.

“MP bolagen provided the project with all the necessary cable management materials such as cable ladders and wire mesh trays, as well as installation accessories and other products such as service poles and posts – both standard and custom-made. Like the black-lacquered wire mesh trays in the event hall that are visible, yet not visible.
“MP bolagen was excellent at meeting our needs. In addition to the black wire mesh trays, we also requested specially designed service poles and posts with shorter cables and longer tubes,” says Daniel, and continues:
“We often know what we want and are experienced clients. For us, it’s a lot about when and how our suppliers can deliver. MP bolagen are always accommodating and easy to deal with.”
When asked what Daniel was most satisfied with regarding MP bolagen, the answer comes quickly and confidently.“They have excellent inventory management, and if they didn’t have what we needed on hand, they could quickly provide it. And of course, it’s a big plus to always have a good person to talk to. For this project, Gustav Petersson, Sales Manager at MP bolagen, was that person.”
